Embracing your maternal journey with compassion and care, whether through birth work, as a full spectrum doula, or in the perinatal and postpartum phases.
It is my heartfelt honor to walk alongside you as you journey through the many seasons of motherhood—pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and beyond. Each stage carries its own beauty, growth, and transformation, and I believe every mother deserves to feel supported and celebrated throughout it all.
Hi, I'm Ajoa!
My passion is supporting families through pregnancy, birth work, and beyond.
As a young mother, pregnancy was a major milestone filled with an array of emotions. I learned a lot about the importance of your support system in those early moments of motherhood. From my happiest times to some daunting ones, I was never short of a helping hand or open heart. I am forever grateful for my village that gave me the confidence to push through my most challenging moments in early motherhood. Since having my first child, I have always wanted to be that helping hand to other families as well.
I now have four children who are a daily reminder of my greatest accomplishments.
It is an honor to be part of your first "welcome team" during delivery as a full spectrum doula and to continue that role as a cheerleader during those first few months while getting to know your newest family member. As a full spectrum doula, I provide comprehensive services across the maternal and perinatal spectrum, including:
Fertility
Pregnancy
Labor & Delivery
Postpartum
Lactation
Miscarriage & Infant Loss

According to the American Pregnancy Association, statistics have shown that the presence of a doula in birth work can significantly enhance the overall birth experience. This support can decrease the need for medical interventions such as cesarean sections (by 50%), shorten the length of labor (by 25%), and reduce the necessity for an epidural (by 60%), among other benefits.
As a full spectrum doula, I provide essential support that allows family members, spouses, and partners to fully engage in the moments of the birth. My role as your doula is to ensure you are completely informed before birth, which is crucial for creating the maternal experience you desire. While some aspects may not always proceed according to plan, my goal is to empower you to embrace the natural process and foster a positive birth experience, whether it be during the perinatal or postpartum period.
During active labor, as a full spectrum doula, I will provide a calming environment that allows you to focus and remain present during the birthing process. I will present a number of calming techniques and relief measures including breathwork, aromatherapy, meditation, and massage, all integral to effective birth work.
After those initial moments with your baby, I will implement a postpartum plan as discussed with you prior to delivery. The goal is to foster a nurturing and supportive environment as you enter this Fourth Trimester, allowing you to fully experience the delicate transition to your new normal. It's my joy to bring you peace of mind and encouragement during our time together in this maternal and perinatal journey.
A doula is a non-medical support person and an advocate for your during the labor and delivery process. They provide both emotional and physical support during the labor process during moments when things become challenging. A doula does not replace your partner, relative , or friend at the time of delivery.
As your doula I am solely on YOU during the birthing journey. I will provide comfort measures, and be sure that you are advocating for yourself during your time of delivery at your preferred birthing site.
A Postpartum doula aides in recovery immediately following birth and provides significant support for the family as they adjust to the new changes in their family. During their time with a postpartum doula, the new parent(s) is given emotional and physical support, all while creating a space that allows them to delight in the precious early moments of life with their baby.
As your postpartum doula I will provide resources to help you adjust during the postpartum period. This includes but is not limited to lactation support, establishing routines, educating the family on safe baby care, along with making sure families are able to embrace the waves of the 4th Trimester.
Yes, it is strongly encouraged to have a provider of your choice to ensure you are supported by a medical professional.
Though I am a certified doula I am not a medically licensed professional. Therefore, I will not be able to provide medical instruction or diagnoses. I strongly encourage you continue to see a medically licensed professional. I will encourage you to follow the guidelines and recommendations as given by your provider.
You can begin your doula search as soon as you find out you are pregnant!
My services begin during pregnancy with resources along with support as you move through the trimesters. You will receive continues support via phone, email, and text to make sure that you are equipped with the knowledge needed to be fully empowered when the time comes for you to bring your baby Earthside.
During this time of preparation we will work on mindful practices and your overall wellness. I will also work with you to create a birth plan, a postpartum routine.
